Tracys Place - Winston Hills Child Care

My name is Tracy and I've been working in the Child Care industry for 25 years. I have been running my Family Day Care at my home in Winston Hills since 2013. Before that I was working as Room Leader in Child Care Centres. I am an educator who is a part of Baulkham Hills Family Day Care, who have been running for over 45 years, providing Family Day Care Services to the community.

My Philosopy is that children are continuously learning. Family Day Care gives children the opportunity to build on their education in a small caring environment.

At Tracy's Place, I can be very busy educating up to 7 children. I have before and after school care kids, and four children 12 months to 6 years. I feel that this broad range of ages is great for all the children as they get to learn and discover new things through each others unique contributions. I have seen the older children helping the younger ones to walk, reading them stories and helping them out when things get difficult. In return, the younger children help the older ones by offering smiles and hugs after rough days at school. 

We are committed to being part of our community and go out on regular excursions. These might be to local parks, helping on clean up Australia days, participating in aged care visits with Baulkham Hills Family Day Care, etc. We have even been out picking fruit at orchards, gone to Sydney Zoo, and of course lots of trips to our local library. I like to build on the children's interests and go to places that will benefit them.
